Flying-foxes are starving. Help us feed them through this crisis.
Our volunteers have responded to more than 200 calls for help with starving bats and orphaned young across the Hunter. Your gift keeps them fed, hydrated and alive.

Flying-foxes can’t wait for the trees to flower again. With your help, our volunteers can keep them alive until they do.
Right now, flying-foxes across the Hunter are running out of food. When native trees fail to flower, the nectar and blossom these animals depend on disappears. Adults weaken, mothers can no longer feed their young, and exhausted bats are being found alone in trees during the day, on the ground, and in backyards.
This is a starvation event, and our volunteers are responding around the clock.
Hunter Wildlife Rescue is 100% volunteer-run and receives no government funding. Every dollar donated is tax-deductible and goes directly toward the animals in our care.
