SUPPORT
Student Projects
Are you a university student working on a film, photography or media project involving native wildlife?
We always appreciate students reaching out, however we ask all student filming and media enquiries to go through the form below before any filming is arranged. Hunter Wildlife Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run organisation, and our carers’ first priority is always the animals in their care. Because carer time is limited and every request affects an animal’s recovery environment.
Before you apply:
- We can’t guarantee every request will be accepted — filming access depends on carer availability, the animal’s welfare needs, and how well your project fits our mission of native wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
- Priority goes to projects with a clear, well-developed story idea and a genuine educational or conservation focus.
- A rescue or an animal’s welfare will always come first. If we need to stop or reschedule filming with little notice, we will.
- We generally can’t accommodate drone filming near wildlife.
- We ask for a copy of the finished piece that can be used in our marketing and a credit to Hunter Wildlife Rescue.
