SUPPORT US

Donations & Bequests

Our unique wildlife desperately needs our help. Land clearing, attacks from cats and dogs, road collision, rising temperatures, floods, bushfires… As the threats to wildlife increase we’re continuing to see more and more wildlife that needs rescuing and rehabilitation.

Orphaned animals need many months of care before they are ready to be released back into the wild.

How Your Donation Is Used

Hunter Wildlife Rescue is 100% volunteer-run so no matter how big or small, our tax-deductible donation will be gratefully received. Your donation will go towards the rescue, rehabilitation and care of injured, distressed or sick native animals from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley. Some of the things your donation may be used for:

  • Purchase of specialised food and supplements for the HWR Foodbank

  • Purchase of medical supplies
  • Contribute to veterinary expenses
  • Assist with office supplies
  • Contribute to the Emergency Response Fund

“Australia is the guardian of a unique collection of animals – mammals, birds, insects – and flowers. Unlike anywhere else in the world… And it is all in your hands.”

Sir David Attenborough

Leave A Lasting Legacy

Why not leave a bequest to the Hunter Wildlife Rescue? A bequest is a simple gift in your Will.  You can bequeath a proportion, the residue, or a fixed sum from your estate. Please consult a solicitor or the public trustee so you can prepare your Will the way you would like so you may help our native wildlife.
