Our rescue and rehabilitation services run 365 days a year, relying on community support to give orphaned and injured animals the care they need to survive. Some need months of care before they’re ready for release.

How your donation is used

Hunter Wildlife Rescue is 100% volunteer-run so no matter how big or small, our tax-deductible donation will be gratefully received. Your donation will go towards the rescue, rehabilitation and care of injured, distressed or sick native animals from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley. Some of the things your donation may be used for:

  • Specialised food and supplements for animals in care

  • Purchase of medical supplies

  • Veterinary expenses

  • Rescue and rehabilitation equipment

  • Emergency and disaster response
