Associate Membership is for those who want to support wildlife without directly rescuing or caring for animals. For $35 per year, Associate Members provide vital help through fundraising, sewing pouches, building nest boxes, collecting browse, and offering skills or professional services — all of which make our rescue and rehabilitation work possible.
An Associate Membership with Hunter Wildlife Rescue is a wonderful way to contribute to the care and protection of native wildlife without being directly involved in rescue or rehabilitation.

While Associate Members do not take part in animal handling or training (these are reserved for Active Members), their support is essential to the success of our work. There are many ways to be involved:

Crafting – Sewing or knitting pouches, liners, or wraps for orphaned animals in care

Wildlife supplies – Farming live foods (such as crickets or mealworms) or collecting fresh browse for vegetarian species

Habitat support – Building nesting boxes and man-made dreys for possums and birds, used both during rehabilitation and after release to keep animals safe

Fundraising & awareness – Supporting events, education programs, and public awareness campaigns

Professional & practical help – Assisting with IT support, admin, financial services, and more
