Chris Reason taken into care: Chris, a handsome young lad from Clarence Town, came in to care on 4th July with an injured eye. He weighed 8kg which is quite large for a koala and he has a sweet, gentle nature. Chris had to have an expensive operation on his eye, and his post-operative care was expected to take from 6 to 8 weeks. Chris was released on 24th July at Clarence Town. He scampered up a very large tree, but as soon as all the humans left he came back down and selected another tree nearby. Chris has been seen in the near vicinity a couple of times since.
