Species: Eastern Grey Kangaroo These three Eastern Grey Kangaroo joeys were rescued by the NATF Wildlife Rescue Service after their mothers and eight others of the mob were callously massacred. In May 2008 vandals deliberately ploughed their car through a mob of feeding kangaroos, who called Morisset Hospital home, leaving these three young orphaned. Anticipated time in care: 18 months.
	Little Annie is the biggest and at 6 months old weighs 2.4kg. She is nervous and skittish and still unsure about humans but slowly bonding to her new foster family. Update (June 2009): Annie is going along well and is scheduled for release hopefully in the spring. Currently weighs approx 13kg. Update (September 2009) After 16 months of rehabilitation, Annie was released in September 2009, along with Jackson, another joey found orphaned after the Morriset Grey Kangaroo massacre and raised with Annie. It was a long journey for both these little roos who have now joined the wild mob to live a life of freedom. 	Saxon was the smallest of the joeys and at 4 months old, weighed 990gms. He is feeding well and snug in his pouch, content only to raise his head for his bottle of special formula milk. Update (June 2009): Saxon has sadly passed away after he had heart complications. Vet pathology tests showed no signs of any other problems or complications. He is sadly missed by all who knew him. 	Banjo was a 4½ month old male joey weighing 1.2kg. Unfortunately Banjo succumbed to the injuries sustain that fateful night. He is sadly missed by his mate Saxon.
